Paul David Lee founded the H.D Lee mercantile Company in Kansas in 1889, and they had their first success in 1911 with the Lee Bib Overall. The overall was made in 8 ounce denim, and sported a multi-functional breast pocket with a button fly.
Lee is now owned by the VF Corporation.
