Reiss Behind The Brand

Category : Featured, INTERVIEWS

Producing high quality directional and design-led clothing Reiss prides itself with an uncompromising commitment to delivering innovative, original products combining exceptional design, quality and value. Reiss were kind enough to answer the following questions about their history, inspirations and new collection:

1) How did Reiss first come about?

David Reiss opened the first Reiss store in 1971 at Bishopsgate, London after recognising a gap in the market for affordable, premium, quality tailoring. With roots in menswear, the brand has also moved into iconic womenswear, grown to stand in more than 100 sites worldwide, and is proudly celebrating its 40th birthday this year.

2) Who are Reiss’ target audience?

Reiss has a broad appeal to men and women with an eye for style. From young style-hunters to grown-up sophisticates, Reiss design has an unlimited appeal.

3) Is there a signature Reiss style?

Reiss has a modern, design-led style with a sexy slant. Forward-thinking and creative, Reiss homes in on quality fabrics, unique design and considered details which set us apart on the high street with a cool, contemporary take on fashion, that looks and feels incredible.

4) Where do you get your inspirations from when designing a new collection?

All of our design is crafted in-house, and our passionate team of designers garner inspiration from travelling across the globe, as well as specific moods, films, music, books and art.

5) Which are the stand-out dresses from the new collection?

So hard to choose, but Sasha, Antonella, Juleen and Dasha are our current favourites.

6) Finally what three words describe Reiss?

Modern, design-led and sexy.
